Welcome Week

St Hilda’s Orientation Week is called Welcome Week and  is designed to be inclusive and life-affirming with a strong sense of student safety and belonging. For new students in semester one 2021, we welcome you on move in day (Saturday 20 February, commencing at 9.00am), where senior students will help you move your stuff and the College formally makes you a member.  On Saturday and Sunday, you will spend the days with our residential tutors, review your academic program, and explore the university. Throughout the week, you’ll have University orientation, get tips on how to balance life, look after yourself and develop respectful relationships. It’s a fun time to meet people, get to know your way around and become familiar with the academic and administrative requirements of University.

Transition

Orientation happens at a point in time, whereas transition is more of an adjustment process. That’s something we understand pretty well here at St Hilda’s, and why we’ll connect you with transition leaders and academic mentors to guide you through first year.

On top of that you can tap into peer support, pastoral care and get involved in a bunch of activities – all of which help you to discover that St Hilda’s is the place where you belong.
