Every year St Hilda’s hosts a variety of faculty dinners to inspire and introduce students to the professions they are studying and may join upon graduation. The first faculty dinner of the year, Agriculture, was held in the Junior Common Room on 13 March. 

The evening was a wonderful opportunity for current students to hear from industry professionals, Camilla Humphries and Sarah Fusinato.

Camilla has a Masters in Agricultural Science and possesses key insights from her studies and industry work. Most recently as Product Development Manager for E.E Muir and sons, a major distributor of fertilisers, chemicals, seeds and other farm supplies to the Australian agricultural industry.

Sarah Fusinato grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Gippsland and joined the St Hilda’s Community in 2015 when she began a Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of Melbourne. Sarah is currently employed as a Farm Source Service Specialist at globally renowned Fonterra Dairy, the world’s largest exporter of dairy products. 

St Hilda’s, like our guest speakers, greatly values the Agriculture Faculty and understands the critical role agriculture plays in the Australian economy.

Set in a casual environment with delicious food, residents were encouraged to ask questions and be motivated by the evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
