St Hilda’s is a bit different. We always were. As the youngest college at the University of Melbourne founded in 1964 by a group of formidable women, we’ve always prided ourselves on being pioneers who create opportunities and welcome people in. This inclusive and egalitarian spirit underpins life at St Hilda’s. It’s a place of connection and community where we share daily experiences, support one another to be our best and contribute to making the world a better place.
Communitas means 'spirit of community' and believe us, you will sense that spirit the minute you walk in.
What We Offer
About
St Hilda's College is a living community and residential college on campus at the University of Melbourne.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurrundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land upon which our college is situated. We pay our respect to all the Elders of Indigenous students who call St Hilda’s home. We also acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of our community, the University of Melbourne, and the wider world.
