leaving a legacy

Giving while living is a powerful legacy.

Since our early days, donors have followed in Lady Paton's footsteps and supported the College with a bequest. This generosity enables students to fulfil their academic goals in our supportive and welcoming community.

A bequest is a gift left to a beneficiary in an individual’s will. As such it’s an enduring contribution that can honour you, your family, or someone close to you, well into the future.

Bequest types can include:

  • Residuary (remainder of the estate once legacies and costs have been paid)
  • A percentage of an estate
  • Pecuniary (a specific sum)
  • Assets such as real estate, shares and/or culturally significant works of art.
