Enjoy easy access to top notch university facilities including the footy oval, athletics track and tennis courts.
Intercollegiate sport is a regular fixture for residents, who train for and participate in competitive tournaments for cricket, hockey, netball, footy, basketball and more. The rowing regatta is a festive calendar feature. If you don’t row, you’ll cheer.
Some of our students have played their sport at a national or state level, while others have tried a sport for the first time and found their thing! Intercollegiate sport at Hilda's is competitive, with our College punching far above our weight. 2018 Grand Champions of Female Hockey, Mixed Badminton, Female Swimming, Female Netball, and overall third in Track and Field, St Hilda's College is a strong sporting College.
The College is surrounded by beautiful and spacious parks where going for a run or walk is very safe and easy. However, your student club fees cover full access to an on-site gym and that has a large range of high-quality exercise equipment to help you keep fit all year round.
St Hilda's College is a living community and residential college on campus at the University of Melbourne.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurrundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land upon which our college is situated. We pay our respect to all the Elders of Indigenous students who call St Hilda’s home. We also acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of our community, the University of Melbourne, and the wider world.
