Uni is pretty different than school. So the College has developed a program for all first year students to get comfortable with the differences. The program supports academic progress and personal development. A resident tutor will be your mentor right across the year. During Orientation Week, new students connect with the resident tutors their first two days--it is like having the brains trust on your side instantly.
The Principal and Vice Principal follow up each and every one of our first years before Easter, to ensure you are transitioning well into university, to ensure you have all the support you need, and to make sure they know who you are. It’s a chance to see how you’re travelling on all fronts – especially your academic progress.
With an eye on the prize, our program connects you to future career options. The mentoring assists senior students to move into their chosen industry or graduate study. College alumni support the program and transitions into the world of work.
