Proximity plus. Take a 20 minute walk in any direction and life is sorted. Stroll to university classes, picturesque parks or top notch sporting facilities. Experience Melbourne’s vibrant city culture living less than two kilometres from the CBD. Cafés and shops are all close by when you need a break or supplies.
There’s limited car parking on our grounds and surrounds but we’re so well positioned you won’t miss your wheels. St Hilda’s is just a few minutes’ walk from tram stops on Royal Parade and Swanston Street. You can also bring a bike. We have a state of the art bike storage area, a few bike lockers, and you can discover Melbourne’s expansive bike lane network.
Safety is an important feature of life at St Hilda’s. Residents have a lockable bedroom with fob key access to the secured college grounds after hours. As a community, we keep an eye out for each other. A duty tutor is on call every evening to respond to any issues.
St Hilda's College is a living community and residential college on campus at the University of Melbourne.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurrundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land upon which our college is situated. We pay our respect to all the Elders of Indigenous students who call St Hilda’s home. We also acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of our community, the University of Melbourne, and the wider world.
